I was born in Milan of parents of Emilian and Tuscan origins and I have always been in contact with rigorously home made food. Usually on Sundays we prepared the pasta dough to create the classic tagliatelle with meat sauce and I and my sister were drafted in as chef’s assistants... we liked to steal the leftovers and eat them in great secrecy!
When I was 18 I moved to Florence where I studied arts and architecture to then work in the fields of design and fashion for many years. The allure of the other cultures brought me to travel the world and all these influences guide me today to teach a broader vision on food in respect to the regional traditions I am so intimately connected to.
I was born in Livorno and I grew up in a Southern Italian family, with a mother from the Amalfi coast and a Sicilian dad. My best memories are those of summer Sundays spent watching with fascination my grandmother while she made fresh pasta very early in the morning, or my mother that enjoyed preparing delicious dishes of the Neapolitan cuisine.
When I was 21 I moved to Switzerland where I have learned to appreciate, and became interested in different cuisines of other cultures. When I got back to Italy I started a new venture. As a baker I worked with dough and created forms from such simple ingredients, only to be inebriated by the smell of the freshly baked bread. All of this made me fall in love with this miracle of creation. My following jobs revolved around the world of fashion and this allowed me to view and to manage food in a more creative way.

Why LovexFood was created
Lovexfood is a project born from the love for everything that is good food.
If we pause for a moment to think about many important moments of our lives we will realize that most of them have occurred around a table.
Lovexfood wants to help making magical these moments, retracing traditional recipes stolen from aunts or grandmothers, recipes that have been used in the past and that could tell the story of many lives.
The interest we have for all that surrounds us, travel, the different artistic and cultural expressions are reflected in a wider contemporary vision of food itself.
The old farmhouse, home to Lovexfood, was uninhabited for several years and in restoring it we tried to respect its old and rustic character, but with an eye for the modern. The garden that surrounds it is encircled by aromatic plants, a small vegetable garden, spontaneous bush and fruit trees where the ancient chestnut becomes the master of the house.

Within live two jolly Jack Russells, four chickens that give us eggs to make the fresh pasta and a cat that dominates the entire property. The hill that houses it is surrounded by a forest of oaks, maples and hornbeams where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the hills with classic glimpses of olive and cypress trees.
Via Vecchia Pisana is one of the oldest roads that runs through the hills of the Chianti Fiorentino , where you can meet small ancient villages and landscapes of traditional Tuscany, in the past it was the only link between Florence and Pisa, and that is why it is named thus. The location is strategic due to its proximity to the center of Florence, which is only 15 km far, and other attractive places of interest.
